Fewer panels are wider; more panels are narrower and fold into a smaller space when open.
This applies to both tiers — each tier opens independently using this configuration.
Hinges are supplied per panel, and they show when your shutters are open. Stainless steel resists rust, so it is the sensible choice in a bathroom, kitchen or other damp room.
Older openings are rarely perfectly square, and a small gap between the frame and the wall is normal. Most people can leave this alone. If our measuring guide told you you have a gap, choose Yes and we will show you the ways to close it.

Enter each strip's finished width, length and quantity. Add another size when a window needs different lengths, for example 2 × 1200mm and 2 × 1300mm. Each strip can be 10–100mm wide and 10–3000mm long. The factory charges by length and bills each strip at the next whole metre, which is reflected in your price.
For an opening that is wider at one end than the other. It fills the wedge-shaped gap so the frame still looks straight. The price follows your window height, so a taller window costs a little more.
Packs the frame out from the wall so the panels swing clear of a window handle, a deep sill or a trickle vent. It is added once, and how far out it needs to come makes no difference to the price.
