Shutter Pros supplies made-to-measure plantation shutters for collection from Retford, Nottinghamshire. We publish our prices, we don’t discount them, and you can see your exact figure online in about a minute — without a home visit, a callback, or a salesperson.
Why we do it this way
Most shutter companies won’t tell you a price until they’ve been to your house. There’s a reason for that: the visit is where the selling happens. A consultant measures up, talks you through the options, and produces a figure that has to cover the showroom, the sales visit, the surveyor and the fitting team — usually with a discount applied to a number that was set high enough to absorb it.
We think that’s backwards, so we took the whole apparatus out.
You measure your own windows using our guide. You get your exact price from the configurator in about a minute. Your shutters are made to the millimetre. You collect them from us in Retford and fit them yourself, with step-by-step written and video guides. What’s left is the shutters and the making of them — and that is what you pay for.
What our shutters actually cost
Five collections. These are the real starting figures, per square metre, factory-direct:

Your final price depends on three things: the size of your windows, the collection you pick, and the options you add. The configurator shows the effect of every choice as you make it. There is no survey fee or fitting charge to add — the configurator price is the whole price, with collection from Retford.
What we don’t do
We’re a supply-only business, and we’d rather be clear about the edges of that than have you find out later.
- We don’t run sales. No countdown banners, no “40% off, ends Sunday”, no discount codes. The price you see is the price, this week and next.
- We don’t visit your home. No survey, no consultation, no appointment.
- We don’t fit your shutters. You fit them, or you arrange your own fitter. We supply the guides, not the labour, and we don’t recommend installers.
- We don’t deliver. Collection is from our Retford base. Most of our customers are within about an hour’s drive.
What that asks of you
One thing, and it matters: your measurements are your responsibility.
Every shutter is cut to the millimetres you give us, so a measuring error becomes a shutter that doesn’t fit — and a made-to-measure product can’t be returned for a change of size. That’s why the measuring guide exists, why we’ve filmed it, and why every order has a 24-hour amendment window after you place it.
Most windows take about five minutes to measure. For bays, shaped heads and sash windows, use the dedicated guide for that opening. Shutter Pros cannot validate measurements before an order is placed.
