SF04 Dusk — the palest. Barely a colour in bright light, which is exactly why people choose it.
SF09 Hall Gray and SF10 Stone Gray — the mid greys, and the two most people mean by "grey shutters".
SF11 Brown Gray — a warmer, greige tone. Useful where a cool grey would look cold against wood.
SF12 Anthracite — deep charcoal. Strong against white walls and increasingly the choice for a contemporary room.
SF13 Black in Paint — a true black, for a deliberately graphic look.

Dark shutters read darker once they are up. A closed panel of anthracite is a large block of solid colour in a way a swatch never is. In a small or north-facing room, one step lighter than you first fancy is usually the decision people are happier with.

Light grey window shutters

SF04 Dusk, SF09 Hall Gray and SF10 Stone Gray keep the window treatment quiet and neutral. A light grey shutter works particularly well where pure white feels too sharp, or where the room already uses stone, soft blue or muted green. Dusk is the subtlest option; Hall Gray and Stone Gray give the window more definition without turning it into the darkest feature in the room.

Dark grey shutters and anthracite

SF11 Brown Gray brings warmth, while SF12 Anthracite creates a deeper charcoal frame around the glass. Dark grey window shutters suit larger or brighter rooms where the colour has enough daylight around it. For the strongest contrast, SF13 Black in Paint is the near-black option. Always judge a dark finish across the area of the whole window, not from a small screen swatch alone.

Which collections carry them

The full grey run is available on Classic and Endurance (thirteen colours) and on Signature and Heritage (seventeen). Linea is finished in three whites only, so it does not carry a grey.

Where grey works

Living rooms and bedrooms with white or off-white walls, where a grey shutter frames the window instead of blending into it. Anthracite against a white reveal is a strong contemporary look. In a bathroom or kitchen, a mid grey in Classic gives you the finish and the moisture resistance together.

Should I choose light or dark grey shutters?

Light grey keeps the window calm and reflects more available light. Dark grey and anthracite create a stronger frame and usually work best where the room is large, bright or deliberately high-contrast. The size and direction of the window matter as much as the wall colour.
